Advancing Autism Inclusion with ASIAM Partnership

Compass Ireland is delighted to announce a powerful partnership with AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity and Advocacy Organisation.

About AsIAm

AsIAm, founded in 2014, has a compelling track record of accrediting, consulting, and training organisations to enhance customer service and employment practices for the Autistic community.

AsIAm is dedicated to removing the invisible barriers often faced by Autistic people and families so that every Autistic person can enjoy the same chance in society. Their vision is for Ireland to be a country where every Autistic person is accepted as they are. Their purpose is to create an inclusive society that is accessible, accepting, and affirming.

By partnering with AsIAm, we aim to broaden our recruitment pool to include more individuals with Autism. This initiative will create valuable employment opportunities and bring diverse perspectives and talents into our workforce.

What Will The Partnership Involve?

Workshops and Training: AsIAm will host a series of workshops and development programs tailored for Compass Ireland’s line managers and mentors. These sessions will provide essential training to enhance understanding and support for employees with Autism, fostering an inclusive workplace environment.

Fundraising and Volunteering: We will have multiple opportunities to get involved with AsIAm’s mission through fundraising and volunteering activities. These initiatives will not only support the charity but also engage our team in meaningful community service.

Autism Friendly Employer Accreditation: Our partnership with AsIAm includes their assistance in achieving Autism Friendly Employer Accreditation. This accreditation will highlight our commitment to inclusivity, and our job vacancies will be promoted on AsIAm’s website, making them easily accessible to the Autistic community.

Recognition: Upon progressing towards full accreditation, Compass Ireland will be awarded AsIAm Digital Badges. These badges will be displayed on our website, and our logo will feature on AsIAm’s site, showcasing our partnership and raising awareness of the importance of inclusive practices.

Our collaboration with AsIAm also provides our existing team and their families with access to a range of new support services.

These include the Autism Information Line, Autism ID Cards, and various support programs for adults and children. These resources will help create a supportive and understanding work environment for all employees.

Stay tuned for further updates as we progress towards achieving our Autism Friendly Employer Accreditation.
